Linares hosts a session on consumer arbitration for shops and businesses
The Confederación de Empresarios de Jaén (CEJ) has organized a session in Linares to present the Consumer Arbitration System, an out-of-court route for resolving disputes with customers, with the collaboration of the Diputación and the ACIL merchants' association.
The "Cronista Juan Sánchez Caballero" Municipal Public Library in Linares has hosted an information session on the Consumer Arbitration System, a tool for resolving disagreements between companies and customers out of court. The event was organised by the Confederación de Empresarios de Jaén (CEJ), the Asociación de Comerciantes e Industriales de Linares (ACIL) and the Diputación Provincial.
What it brings to the business
According to the second vice-president and deputy for Institutional Relations, Javier Perales, the arbitration system gives "an extra to the service offered to their customers by both companies and the shops and members of ACIL themselves". Perales explained that the tool is agile and that, among other advantages, it helps retain customers and guarantees that the company offers a service suited to what the consumer needs.
The president of the CEJ, Bartolomé González, pointed out that consumer trust is one of the main assets of any business and that it is also built "through the way companies respond when a disagreement arises". Being part of the arbitration system, he added, can help reinforce that trust, improve customer service and offer greater guarantees in commercial relations.
Three years of sessions
Perales stated that this type of informative gathering "has been held for three years with a significant number of companies that have joined this system".
The session included a talk by Pedro Castillo, arbitrator of the Junta Arbitral Provincial de Consumo for the Diputación de Jaén, entitled "Ventajas de adherirse al Sistema Arbitral de Consumo". Also taking part were the councillor for Works, Commerce and Hospitality of Linares, Miguel Ángel Rentero, and the secretary of ACIL, Jesús Bustos.
