Geolit brings together at October Tech three of the 35 projects incubated by IAT Matriz

The Geolit Science and Technology Park of the Diputación de Jaén has hosted the second edition of October Tech, a meeting on business innovation at which three of the 35 projects incubated by the IAT Matriz High Technology Incubator were presented.
The Geolit Science and Technology Park, in the Diputación de Jaén, has held the second edition of October Tech, an event to showcase the business innovation being developed in the province. At the meeting, three of the 35 projects incubated by the IAT Matriz High Technology Incubator were presented: CEX Eco Energy, Glosso and Sommum Technologies.
Other participating projects
The event also presented initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of companies based at Geolit, such as Ageing Lab, by Macrosad, and Pieralisi Customer Center. In addition, innovative projects from the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Linares, the Fundación Fulgencio Meseguer and Jaén Agritech Ventures were shown.
Space for contacts
According to the Diputación, the aim of October Tech Geolit is to jointly showcase part of the work being carried out in the province to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and the generation of new business opportunities. The event includes an open networking space where companies, technology agents and organisations supporting innovation and entrepreneurship can make contacts and share ideas.
The Diputación's participation
The deputy for European Funds and Geolit, Lourdes Martínez, spoke at the opening. According to her, «October Tech once again brings together at our park companies, entrepreneurs, professionals and institutions that share the same goal: to make innovation a real development opportunity for our province». Martínez added that Jaén's economic future «does not depend solely on attracting projects from outside, but also on being able to promote, connect and grow the talent we already have within».
