The Llamarados diocesan gathering celebrates its third edition on Saturday, November 21, with welcome from 10:00 and a sending Eucharist in the Cathedral at 17:00.
Teenagers and young people preparing to receive Confirmation this year have an appointment on Saturday, November 21. The Delegation for Vocational Pastoral Care of the Diocese of Jaén organizes the third edition of Llamarados, a gathering that will begin at the Casa de la Iglesia and end with a sending Eucharist in the Cathedral of Jaén, presided over by bishop Sebastián Chico Martínez.
A day of fellowship and formation
According to the Diocese, the day will include activities, testimonies, music and workshops, with the aim that participants share experiences and live their faith. Welcome will be from 10:00 and the gathering will conclude at 17:00 with the Eucharist in the Cathedral. The motto of this edition is «Receive the strength of the Holy Spirit» (Acts 1, 8).
How to register
Registration is by group and is done by the catechist or leader of the group of confirmands. If a parish or school has several groups, a single joint registration is made and the catechists choose a leader in advance to do it. Registration also works as a reservation: if capacity is exceeded, the order of group registration will be respected. The deadline is open until November 15, through the form enabled for the gathering.
What to bring and where to park
Each participant must bring a backpack with food and their personal belongings; bringing something for a snack is also recommended. Cars can park at the Casa de la Iglesia-Seminario Diocesano (calle Juan Montilla, 1), entering through the gate closest to the park of the Seminario, at the football field. Those coming by bus must drop off and pick up participants at the Colegio Andrés de Vandelvira stop, on the Carretera de Jabalcuz. The leader of each group will collect each participant's accreditation at the table. In addition, catechists are asked to prepare in the previous days a banner or poster with the name of the parish and the town of origin for the transfer to the Cathedral.
