The Festival de Música Antigua de Úbeda y Baeza marks thirty editions with 'SACRA', a programme of nearly thirty activities between November 21 and December 8 in Úbeda and Baeza, with the Catedral de Jaén and other heritage sites as venues.
The Festival de Música Antigua de Úbeda y Baeza (FeMAUB) reaches its thirtieth edition. The thirtieth will be held from November 21 to December 8 under the title 'SACRA' and will bring together almost thirty activities in Úbeda and Baeza.
What 'SACRA' proposes
The edition approaches religious music from an inclusive perspective. Alongside the repertoires written and preserved by churches, convents and cathedrals, the festival pays attention to the expressions arising from popular religiosity and oral tradition. The Catedral de Jaén, churches and other heritage sites once again serve as venues.
The festival recovers spaces used very occasionally in its history, such as the Convento de San Antonio de Padua, in Baeza, and the Iglesia de San Isidoro, in Úbeda. It also incorporates the Iglesia de San Ignacio de Baeza for the first time.
