The Agrupación de Cofradías de Andújar organizes the V Diocesan Meeting of Young Confraternity Members, which will be held on Saturday, January 30 with round tables, a band contest, a procession and a mass presided over by bishop Sebastián Chico Martínez.
Andújar will be the venue for the V Diocesan Meeting of Young Confraternity Members. The event will be on Saturday, January 30 and is organized by the Agrupación de Cofradías de Andújar, as announced by the bishop of Jaén, Sebastián Chico Martínez, within the framework of the VIII Centenary of the Apparition of the Virgen de la Cabeza.
A one-day program
The meeting will include a welcome, round tables and confraternity visits, a band contest, a meal, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and confessions, a procession and the Holy Mass presided over by the bishop. With this mass it will be possible to gain the plenary indulgence.
The Secretariado de Jóvenes Cofrades explains that the meeting seeks to highlight the relevance of confraternity youth within the youth ministry of the Diocese and to offer an opportunity to strengthen faith and tradition among young people.
The fourth meeting, in April in Úbeda
The IV Meeting could not be held in Úbeda for weather reasons. Instead, in April the first meeting of youth representatives of the brotherhoods and confraternities of the Diocese will be held in that city, declared a world heritage site.
