La Carolina hosts the Rocío brotherhoods of the diocese on Saturday

La Carolina hosts on Saturday, November 7, the XII Meeting of Rocío Brotherhoods of the Diocese of Jaén, a day of fellowship in which the Rocío associations of the diocese take part with their banners and insignia. It is organized by the Hermandad de Nuestra Señora del Rocío de La Carolina. The day begins at 9:30 with the reception of the brotherhoods and authorities at the Parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción. Afterwards there will be a fellowship breakfast at the Palacio del Intendente Olavide. At 11:00 the greeting and floral offering to the patrons of the town, the Inmaculada Concepción and San Juan de la Cruz, are scheduled. The offering to the Carmelite saint has a special meaning this year because of the Jubilee Year dedicated to him. An offering will also be made to the Virgen de los Dolores, titular of the brotherhood with which the Rocío association of La Carolina is twinned.

After the acts at the parish, the brotherhoods will walk the streets of the town in procession to the Parroquia de San Carlos Borromeo, canonical seat of the host brotherhood. The central moment will be at 12:00, with the Solemn Rocío Eucharist presided over by the spiritual director of the Hermandad, Germán García Aguilera. The day will end with a fellowship meal scheduled for 14:00 at the Asador Carmen. According to the Diocese of Jaén, the meeting serves so that the brotherhoods strengthen ties and keep the devotion to the Virgen del Rocío present in their communities. Anyone who wishes to attend the open acts, such as the reception, the floral offering, the procession and the Eucharist, can check the schedule and location in the meeting's listing in the JaénYa agenda.
