The autumn route of the programme Paseando por los senderos de Jaén brings together 30 people on an 11-kilometre walk through the municipality of Beas de Segura.
Around thirty hikers from different municipalities in the province of Jaén walked the «Cañada Catena-Piedra del Moro» route on Sunday, October 24, in the municipality of Beas de Segura. The walk, of about 11 kilometres, is part of the programme Paseando por los senderos de Jaén 2026, organised by the Servicio de Deportes de la Diputación de Jaén.
A morning of walking and a guided visit
The activity falls under the programme's Promoción category and was coordinated by the sports area of the ADR Sierra de Segura, with a guide from the company Cota 2000. At the end of the route, the group took a guided visit of Beas de Segura led by María Galarzo, from the Área de Turismo del Ayuntamiento. The Club Senderista El Camino collaborated during the day, and the activity ended with a meal at the Restaurante Sótano de Segurilla.
Next date in the region
The next route of this programme in the Sierra de Segura will be in March 2027. The organisation plans to publish the activity and open the registration period in mid-February. Provincial information, with the routes in the rest of the regions of Jaén, can be found on the Diputación de Jaén page.
