Baños de la Encina launches next Sunday, November 8, a cultural and sports programme that will run until January 9. The agenda brings together more than twenty proposals of theatre, music, magic, Christmas activities and sport, designed for all audiences, according to the Town Council.
Theatre takes up a good part of the calendar, with productions for adults and children. Among them are «Lágrimas negras», by the group Las Sin Sombrero; «La casa de Bernarda Alba», by the company Small Clowns; and «Federico: teatro y flamenco en vivo», a proposal by Pedro Guido. For family audiences, «La ratita presumida», by Teatro La Paca, and the musical «Viaje a Fantasía», by Esphera Teatro, have been scheduled. The stage programme is completed with the musical show «Eva María», by Small Clowns, and a magic day with Mago Torres.
Christmas fills the calendar
Music gains weight with the arrival of December. The Auditorio Municipal will host the traditional Certamen de Villancicos and the flamenco zambomba of María del Mar Ramírez. On December 23 there will be a parade with the Campanilleros de Vilches that will give way to a flamenco zambomba by the Peña Antonio Laruta, in the surroundings of the Ermita de Jesús del Llano.
The Christmas events include «El Poblado Navideño», a children's proposal at the Caseta Municipal, the delivery of letters to the Pajes de los Reyes Magos and the traditional Cabalgata de Reyes. To these is added the New Year's Eve Party, with performances by «Así Siempre» and «Maggie Despierta», as well as inflatables and children's entertainment by Juanje Animación.
The agenda also includes the march against gender violence, scheduled for November 25, and the urban race La Bellota «Virgen de la Encina», which will close the programme on January 9.
The mayor, Antonio las Heras, has pointed out during the presentation that the programme has been designed «varied, with activities for all ages and tastes», so that children, young people and older people can participate in the life of the municipality. The deputy mayor, Ana M.ª Fernández, also spoke at the event.
