Música en Segura returns from November 6 to 8 with its autumn edition

Segura de la Sierra and Orcera host from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8 the thirteenth autumn edition of the Música en Segura festival, which spreads its performances across different spaces in both municipalities. Among this year's proposals is «Atarjea», a project of oral tradition sounds that revolves around the presence of water in the province of Jaén. It is directed by Irene Martín Guillén, who also performs alongside Chechu Zeta, Verónica Hernández and Marcos León.

The Iglesia de los Jesuitas will be the main stage. There the countertenor Manuel Ruiz and the Íliber Ensemble present «Héroe desvelado», a staged journey through the figure of the hero from the Baroque to contemporary creation. In the same space the Iranian musician Mehdi Aminian and the Syrian oud player Mohamad Zatari will perform with the project «Quieter than silence». Also at the Iglesia de los Jesuitas are scheduled the recital by pianist Anna Fedorova and the performance by the Venezuelans Pacho Flores, on trumpet, and Jesús «Pingüino» González, on guitar. The Teatro de Orcera will host the flamenco and Spanish dance performance by Julio Ruiz, «La Familia», a staged tale about inheritance, blood and family ties. The territorial delegate of Culture, Historical Heritage and Sport, José Ayala, has attended the presentation of the festival alongside the director and founder of the event, Daniel Broncano. Ayala has stated that the programme «transcends beyond music, focusing the experience on the audience's enjoyment, on the emotion of live music in unique locations in the heart of the Parque Natural Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas».
