The University of Jaén launches an online training pathway for the 2026-2027 academic year that certifies students' skills and complementary training. Standard registration is open until July 31, 2027.
The University of Jaén (UJA) has launched the Employability and Entrepreneurship Passport for the 2026-2027 academic year. It is an official recognition that certifies the key competences, cross-cutting skills and complementary training that students acquire during their time at the institution, according to the university.
How it works
Credits and certification
Each completed and documented activity, by uploading the certificate or corresponding evidence to PLATEA, grants 0.25 credits, up to a maximum of 0.75 credits per area of activity. Progressively completing the pathway allows participants to accumulate merits to obtain the Passport certification and recognition of up to six ECTS credits in Complementary Training. To obtain the official accreditation, at least 80% of the training activities must be validated.
Deadlines and registration
The standard registration period remains open until July 31, 2027. Activities take place between October 1, 2026 and August 31, 2027. Self-registration is completed online through the UJA's official Own Programmes portal.
The initiative depends on the Secretariat for Employability, Entrepreneurship and the Alumni Programme of the Vice-Rectorate for Students and Employability, together with the Employability Unit. The Vice-Rector for Students and Employability, Mª Teresa Pérez Giménez, notes that the tool will allow students to certify their cross-cutting competences, practical experience and entrepreneurial initiatives "transparently and in a unified way".
