La Sierra de Segura provisionally approves LEADER aid worth 865,346 euros
The Association for Rural Development of La Sierra de Segura has studied the first files of Line 2 of the LEADER 2023-2027 programme and proposes subsidies of 865,346.22 euros for an eligible investment of 1,848,466.91 euros. The final resolution corresponds to the Junta.
The Association for Rural Development of the Sierra de Segura has taken the first step to resolve the aid under the LEADER 2023-2027 programme in the region. Its Board of Directors met on Tuesday, October 20 to study the first applications submitted to Line 2, the Rural Economy Diversification line, focused on the start-up, modernisation and improvement of business competitiveness.
How much money and for what
The eligible investment approved amounts to 1.848.466,91 euros, and the proposed subsidy is 865.346,22 euros. Of that amount, 85% comes from European Union funds and the remaining 15% is co-financed by the Junta de Andalucía.
These are productive applications, that is, linked to the economic activity of the area. According to the association, this aid to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will create four jobs and maintain another 14.
Awaiting the Junta
The approved aid is provisional. The final resolution corresponds to the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucía, so beneficiaries will not have the subsidy confirmed until that procedure is completed.
The association maintains that these applications reflect the commitment to the rural business fabric and strengthen the economic sectors that contribute to the development of the Sierra de Segura.
