The CEJ closes its series of conferences in Linares with more than 450 participating businesspeople
The Confederación de Empresarios de Jaén (CEJ) has brought to Linares a conference to raise awareness of the Consumer Arbitration System among retailers, with the collaboration of ACIL and the Diputación. This session ends the third series of meetings, in which more than 450 businesspeople have participated.
The Confederación de Empresarios de Jaén (CEJ) has held in Linares a conference to raise awareness among retailers of the Consumer Arbitration System, an out-of-court and free channel for resolving disagreements between businesses and customers. The session has been organised together with the Asociación de Comerciantes e Industriales de Linares (ACIL), within the agreement that the CEJ maintains with the Diputación de Jaén through the Municipal Services area.
What arbitration offers
According to the CEJ, being part of this system can help retailers strengthen customer trust, improve service and provide greater guarantees in commercial relations. The organisation notes that joining allows conflicts to be resolved without going to court and can serve as a differentiating element compared with other establishments.
The conference has included a talk by Pedro Castillo, arbitrator of the Junta Arbitral de Consumo, on how the system works and its advantages for businesses and their customers.
Closing of a series of meetings
With this session, the CEJ brings to an end the third series of business meetings developed thanks to the agreement with the Diputación. More than 450 businessmen and businesswomen have participated in the programme as a whole.
The president of the CEJ, Bartolomé González, has highlighted the role of local retail as a driver of economic activity and employment and has encouraged retailers to consider joining the system. «Being part of the Consumer Arbitration System can help retailers strengthen that trust, improve customer service and offer greater guarantees in their commercial relations,» he said.
Nearly 4,000 affiliated companies
The CEJ has been part of the province's Consumer Arbitration System since its constitution, in 1994. Currently, around 4,000 companies are affiliated in the province, a figure that the organisation considers can be expanded with information initiatives such as the one in Linares.
The event has also included the general secretary of ACIL, Jesús Bustos; the second vice-president and provincial deputy for Institutional Relations, Francisco Javier Perales Fernández; the director of the Municipal Services area of the Diputación, Francisco Lechuga; and the councillor for Works, Firefighters, Commerce and Hospitality of Linares, Miguel Ángel Rentero.
