The chapel of San Antonio, on calle Madre Soledad Torres Acosta, hosts this Tuesday, October 20 at 19:30 the first gathering of «Betania. Oración desde la Caridad», an initiative of Cáritas Interparroquial de Jaén. From now on, the appointment will be repeated every third Tuesday of the month.

Open doors

The gathering is open to Cáritas teams, their participants and collaborators, parish priests and parish communities. Anyone who wishes to take part in this moment of prayer may also join. No registration is required and no cost is announced: simply come to the chapel at the indicated time.

Why it is called Betania

The name refers, as Cáritas explains, to the home where Jesus found friendship, welcome and rest. The organization notes that those who work in the service of others also need moments of silence, listening and closeness to sustain that task. Charity takes shape every day in gestures of accompaniment, listening and help for those going through situations of vulnerability. Cáritas Interparroquial de Jaén presents «Betania» as a space to share the faith, strengthen community bonds and place before the Lord the life, the concerns and the people who are part of its daily work.

What you have to do to go

There is no need to sign up or reserve a place. The first appointment is this Tuesday, October 20 at 19:30 in the chapel of San Antonio, on calle Madre Soledad Torres Acosta. The following gatherings will be every third Tuesday of the month, in the same place and at the same time, according to the information provided by Cáritas.
