Antonio Molero, Santi Rodríguez and San Juan de la Cruz: La Carolina fills November with culture

La Carolina's Cultural Autumn brings together this month a meeting of plucked-string orchestras, flamenco with Juan Pinilla, theatre, a children's musical, the Santa Cecilia concert and the proclamation of San Juan de la Cruz. On Saturday 7 it also hosts the meeting of Rociero brotherhoods of the diocese.

The La Carolina City Council has published the November programme for its Cultural Autumn 2026, with events on almost every weekend and most of them at the Carlos III Theatre.

Saturday 7: orchestras, flamenco and rocío

At 19:00, the Carlos III Theatre hosts the XXV Regional Meeting of Plucked and Plectrum Orchestras «Ciudad de La Carolina». At 20:45, the Casa de la Música y la Literatura welcomes the singer Juan Pinilla as part of the XXVII Provincial Circuit «El Flamenco por las Peñas», organised by the Provincial Federation of Flamenco Peñas of Jaén and the Peña Flamenca «Puerta de Andalucía». That same day, from 9:30, the city hosts the XII Meeting of Rocío Brotherhoods of the Diocese of Jaén. The local rociera brotherhood, as host, has prepared a reception and breakfast, floral offerings to the Inmaculada, San Juan de la Cruz and the Virgen de los Dolores, a procession to the parish church of San Carlos Borromeo, a rociera mass and a brotherhood meal.

At 19:30, Antonio Molero comes to the Carlos III with the comedy «Se nos fue de las manos».

Saturday 14, 18:00. Family musical «Hansel y Gretel», at the Carlos III Theatre.
Sunday 15, 12:00. Santa Cecilia concert on calle Posadas, with the Agrupación Musical de La Borriquilla and the Banda de Tambores de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno y María Santísima de la Aurora.
Sunday 15, 20:30. Pregón de San Juan de la Cruz, given by padre Francisco Víctor López Fernández, prior of the Carmelitas Descalzos de Úbeda, at the Carlos III Theatre.
Friday 20, 20:30. Guitar recital by Haruna Miyagawa, as part of the XXII International Music Festival «Ciudad de La Carolina», in the «Juan Francisco Casas» exhibition room of the Centro Cultural.
Saturday 21, 20:00. Santi Rodríguez presents «¿Nos damos un viaje?» at the Carlos III Theatre.
Sunday 22, 18:30. «¿A qué tañen?», a work on the life and work of San Juan de la Cruz written by Guillermo Sena Medina, performed by the Asociación Cultural Diógenes Teatro.
